This song is incredible IMO, it does require some much lower bass to fill out sound. I love the mix of slap bass and punchy drums.

Yeah I love the bass line.
Its the hook hah
Thank you again!
Really Impressive Mix, Could use a more pronounced melody but otherwise everything fits into place very nicely!
Yeah I was hoping the synth violin I was using could stand out as a melody and then when it would stop the other background scales linger about. Kinda lazy and all haha. Thank you ^_^
Really good work here. I love how crisp and snappy everything is. Even though this is an odd mix of sounds it works really well. The only real additions I would make are sub-bass and maybe making baritone layers to fill out space since a lot of the sounds are in the upper register.
Yeah I think a sub bass would have worked well here but I have a habit of dropping the bass lines in and letting them stick out versus using an undertone. If anything a variety in bass could have worked but I was also a bit lost on finding the funk.
Adding another layer like baritone would have worked too and even out the sounds. I shall make note of this when making another beat. Thank you for the critique <3!
Very nice however not in waltz form as promised lmao
Haha, thank you! It started off as a very simple concept where I just wanted to write something with a slower bpm than I normally do, and it quickly expanded well beyond that
Its good but the sound that sounds like an air compressor blowing out rdoesnt really fit with the piece in my opinion (sorry if that was ab offensive description I have no clue how else to describe the sound) maybe a different version of the same sound would fit better but that specific one is too crisp and loud for this piece
Love the description! I’ve had second thoughts about it since and I plan on reworking that layer, cheers bud
I Enjoy this very much even though this isnt my preference of music, I would say everything mixes well together and makes a sort of solemn, content atmosphere. I like the chromatic scaling at around 5 minutes, it adds a nice tension to that part. However I would say the saxophone is a little overbearingly bright, if the sound was softened slightly it would be an overall improvement =D
Thanks for listening.
I'll give a check to the saxes EQ, maybe I can lower a bit the highs without messing the mix too much. Glad you enjoyed it.
this sounds pretty amazing! needs some more dynamic control but otherwise is pretty good
With the software I'm using, more dynamic control really isn't an option. I wish I could do more to control the fine details, but if you have any suggestions for programs to use, I'd be more than happy to hear them.
I play games and make music, I am a simple man lol
